control system integration

The client’s existing process/CIP control system was approaching obsolescence and difficult to support or modify for plant engineering and maintenance personnel.

Maintenance was becoming an issue with the lack of replacement components and support from the original equipment manufacturer. The proprietary software was limiting the client’s ability to make any significant improvements to the process and CIP operations, or to provide management with the data and reporting necessary to streamline production and increase efficiency.

Our control system engineers worked with the client’s management, engineering and maintenance departments to develop and implement a control system architecture to meet their existing needs, and allow for future control and data management enhancements. Utilizing high speed networks, a server based Human Machine Interface, the latest in Programmable Logic Controller hardware and logically structured software development, the resulting control system is user-friendly for plant operators, maintainable by the engineering and maintenance departments, and a data management tool for the production team.
