why Seiberling
A substantial increase in production capacity was needed, and the renovation had to have minimal impact on existing operations while maintaining product quality.
Current production requirements were stretching the through-put capabilities of the plant resulting in round-the-clock operation to meet customer commitments. Production schedules were so tight that any unexpected interruption in processing due to equipment problems, raw ingredient supply issues, or changes in product runs severely impacted their ability to deliver the required finished product.
Our engineering team worked closely with the client to develop a very detailed multi-phase commissioning plan to maximize pre-shutdown installation and minimize downtime required for tie-ins. A thorough check-out of new equipment was performed prior to each shutdown to reduce the time required for start-up. The plan was executed in multiple phases over a period of several months resulting in no lost production or adverse effect on finished product quality.
